Job Summary
Reporting to: C-Arm Technician
Job Summary: The C-Arm Tech performs radiographic exams for physicians or will assist providers using a C-ARM. This employee is responsible for safely demonstrating proficiency in patient care skills, superior knowledge of radiography and has compassion for those he or she assists. The employee will take pride and ownership in their duties by checking equipment daily for leaks or spills and any issues which may present safety concerns.
Responsibilities
- Operate C-ARM fluoroscopy machines to capture high-quality images during various medical procedures, including surgeries and interventional radiology
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the positioning of the C-ARM for optimal image acquisition
- Adjust imaging parameters such as exposure settings, contrast, and resolution to obtain clear and diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols, including the use of lead aprons and shields
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on C-ARM equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs when needed
- Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure documentation and image archiving
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a technician in a related field (e.g., electronics, automotive, medical)
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid state license
- Brooklyn, NY 11209: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
