S:US is seeking a Maintenance Worker for their Central Maintenanace divison.
This position is located at 7th Avenue New York, New Yor 10018
SCOPE OF ROLE
Provide quality cleanliness oversight to assigned building(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas within the facility.
- This includes but is not limited to: floor care (mopping, sweeping, buffing, stripping and waxing), cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, separating recyclables, emptying garbage, wiping windows and walls, and cleaning stairways.Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility.
- Responsible for exterior snow and ice removal as well as upkeep of the grounds. This includes but is not limited to sidewalk maintenance, maintaining landscaping, and all other aspects of the building exterior.
- Assist Staff with special events by setting the chairs and tables up for use making sure the area is clean and safe for all
- Maintain building maintenance tools and machinery to ensure that all items are in good working condition.
- Ordering cleaning supplies, paper supplies, lightbulbs, garbage bags, etc. and maintaining biweekly inventory.
- Assist in moving and storing program supplies, office furniture, office equipment, dorm furniture, consumer belongings, and other items in and around the facility when and where appropriate.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• At least one year of maintenance & cleaning experience in a large residential or Program setting.• Must possess good interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS• High School Diploma or GED preferred.• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.• Beneficial for candidate to have experience working within a Supportive Housing setting.
