Frequently asked questions

Although a high school diploma is essential, obtaining certifications in healthcare administration or event management can distinguish candidates. In the Bronx, credentials related to population health or medical event coordination are valued due to Essen Health Care’s specialized services. These qualifications demonstrate your readiness to manage complex healthcare events efficiently.

On days with two scheduled events, a Field Coordinator must arrive early, manage setup, oversee patient registration, conduct presentations, and coordinate medical screenings twice. Time management is critical, especially balancing lunch breaks between events, ensuring both run smoothly in Bronx’s fast-paced healthcare environment.

Field Coordinators play a pivotal role by facilitating patient registration, conducting informative presentations, and managing interactive activities like raffles. Their coordination ensures that vulnerable populations in NYC receive accessible care, helping to bridge the gap between medical services and community outreach.

With Bronx’s growing healthcare needs and Essen Health Care’s expansion, demand for Field Coordinators has increased. However, competition remains moderate given the specialized skill set required. Candidates with healthcare event experience and knowledge of local community health dynamics have a competitive edge.

Navigating Bronx traffic and public transit can impact punctuality, especially with back-to-back events. Effective route planning and familiarity with local transport options help Field Coordinators arrive early and maintain the seamless flow of event logistics crucial for Essen Health Care’s patient-centered outreach.

Unlike many field coordination roles, this position blends healthcare with community outreach in a diverse urban setting. Coordinators must manage medical supplies, patient screenings, and culturally sensitive communication, reflecting Bronx’s demographic complexity and Essen’s commitment to serving underserved populations.

Field Coordinators working at Essen Health Care in Bronx can expect hourly wages between $20 and $22, reflecting the role’s blend of healthcare knowledge and event management. This compensation aligns with local market standards for healthcare coordination positions in urban settings.

Essen Health Care emphasizes integrated clinical services and population health, so Field Coordinators there handle diverse tasks from patient registration to event logistics with a community health focus. This multifaceted role contrasts with more narrowly focused coordinator jobs in traditional healthcare settings.

This position requires meticulous event preparation, supply verification, system testing, patient interaction, and post-event follow-ups. Unlike standard event coordination, the role demands familiarity with medical systems like the ECW and managing screenings, making it uniquely healthcare-centric.

Essen fosters professional development by encouraging further education in healthcare administration and event management. With its large network of over 400 practitioners and multiple clinical divisions, coordinators have opportunities to advance into specialized or managerial healthcare roles within the organization.
