Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Telemetry Nurse at Arizona General Hospital - Mesa you will assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.
- Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the
patient - Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating
issues - Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices
- Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in
a timely and clinically appropriate manner - Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at
the bedside
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Arizona state RN License
- American Heart Association-issued BLS card
- American Heart Association-issued ACLS card
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- One (1) year acute experience
