Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinic RN at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you’ll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team. You will work with our patients daily to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care.
To succeed in this role, you must have genuine compassion for your patient’s well-being and understand your part in helping our patients feel at ease. You also have the patience to explain the process, answer questions and update documentation.
- Perform general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
- Obtain patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
- Obtain and document health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition.
- Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
- Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response. Refer to/consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
- Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN), Required upon hire.
Licensure and Certifications
- Registered Nurse: North Dakota (RN:ND), Required upon hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), Required upon hire.
