Job Overview
The Certified Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy treatment services for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. We are currently seeking a PRN employee, with desired working hours between 3-6 p.m. 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Implements a physical therapy treatment plan developed by supervision Physical Therapist, to address the short and long term goals of each patient in a timely manner and in compliance with departmental policies and standards of care.
- Adapts intervention environments, tools, materials, methods and activities according to the needs of the individual patient.
- Communicates status changes of patient to supervising PT for re-evaluation and modification of treatment plans and goals.
- Participates in discharge planning, under the supervision of the licensed PT, to assure completion of patient and family education/training and equipment needs.
- Documents treatment and progress in the medical record accurately and within established time lines.
- Communicates regularly with supervising licensed PT regarding the development and implementation of treatment plan via regularly scheduled and documented case conference regarding the patient.

Qualifications
Required
Associates degree from an American Physical Therapy Association approved school
Physical Therapy Assistant license
current BLS
Preferred
1-2 years pediatric orthopedic or rehabilitation experience
1-2 years of general experience as a PTA.
