Legacy Westside Internal Medicine Clinic, located in Beaverton, OR., is searching for an Endocrinologist.
The Endocrinologist is responsible for direct patient care of Endocrinology patients, teaching attending and administrative duties under the direction of the Chief of Medicine or the Medical Director, depending upon assignment.
Diagnoses and treats adults for diseases to the endocrine system, such as diabetes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.D./D.O. Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical school or equivalent.
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine.
- Board eligible/certified in endocrinology.
- Unrestricted Medical License for the applicable state.
- Current Basic Life Support.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Medical care of patients:
- Provides outpatient and management for patients with diabetes or other endocrine disorders. Is available for inpatient consults via telephone or telemedicine.
- Collaborates and consults with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical resource coordinators and other staff in developing care management strategies and plans.
- Responds promptly in writing to referral source with an evaluation and suggested plan of care.
Program Administrations:
- Collaborates with Medical Director, Administration, other physicians and staff in program development, Lean initiatives and operational problem solving.
- Attends and participates actively in meetings and other activities as required.
- Provides medical coordination for the care of adults with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
- Provides leadership in strategic planning and program development for Legacy’s Medical Group Endocrinology Program.
- Provides leadership in the development of standards, policies, protocols, and quality assurance guidelines for the care of adults with diabetes or endocrine disorders, together with the administrative team and the Clinical Vice President.
