The Family Day Care (FDC) Home Visitor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program including monitoring and support of children and families of the Family Day Care Program.
Pay: $21-24/hour

Responsibilities
• Monitor Family Daycare Homes by conducting 2 visits a month minimum.• Provide copies of client paperwork to our CAFS providers including the Ages & Stages development evaluations. (Assist in providing help if needed on the child progress reports)• Work together, with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Early Intervention (EI), and Special Education Department (SPED), to ensure children are receiving appropriate services.• Act as liaison between the FDC providers and parents and as an advocate for the child.• Assist and Report all DCF case load concerns to CAFS director / support DCF supportive parents, DCF social workers and FDC providers.• Observe, children during activities (give suggestions or ideas on activities or discuss ways to improve)• Assist providers with the children curriculum plans, collect and review every month• Provide guidance to all providers with any concerns or complaints providers may have about a client or a child• Closely monitor children’s attendance throughout each month• Monitor children’s files for health records (update of physicals & immunizations and Medical Health conditions as needed by child)• Ensure that providers are in compliance with all current EEC regulations• Provide parents with local resources as needed• Attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned• Assist director in planning and implementing Professional Development trainings and parent education events for FDC providers, staff, and parents.• Responsible to arrange Substitute care when other CAFS contract providers are closed
• Have knowledge of current state childcare policies.• Carry out all activities in keeping with agency policy.• Be a team member of CAFS to help carry out and perform other duties as required or directed.• Carry out all responsibilities professionally and efficiently.• Carry out all activities in keeping with program goals and objectives, and Seven Hills Policies and Procedures• Maintain employee and client confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Associate degree or relevant experience required.
- EEC Lead Infant/Toddler/Preschool certification required.
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
Massachusetts driver's license required.
Maintain Infant/Child CPR & First Aid
Fluent bilingual (English/Spanish) oral and written communication skills required
Skills and Knowledge:
- A commitment and interest in working with young children and their families in a family childcare setting
- Ability to relate positively to children and adults
- Organizational skills with an ability to follow through on tasks are a must.
- Strong knowledge of DCF support services, EEC waitlist & regulations, and QRIS preferred.
- Computer experience.
