The CT Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality imaging services. This role supports Radiologists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and is responsible for the accurate processing and transmission of images to PACS. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical proficiency, strong clinical knowledge, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
Assist Radiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Process, review, and transmit images to PACS accurately and efficiently.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safe for patient use.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Uphold radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
ARRT-CT Certification is required.
Current Radiology/CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by the State.
One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
Proficient in computer skills, including PACS and electronic medical records.
