Job Summary and Responsibilities
As aLaboratory Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for the technical and scientific management of one or more laboratory sections, ensuring compliance and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Personnel Management:Training, coaching, and evaluating lab staff competency, ensuring adherence to policies and ethics. Identifying training needs and providing regular in-service education.
- Operational Oversight:Managing daily lab operations, making critical decisions, and overseeing inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Quality Assurance:Selecting appropriate test methodologies, verifying procedures, establishing performance characteristics (precision, accuracy), and administering a robust quality control program. Ensuring remedial actions are taken when test systems deviate and that patient results are accurate.
- Technical Expertise:Assisting with and resolving technical problems. Qualifying and functioning as a CLIA-defined Technical Consultant.
This role ensures the lab maintains high standards for testing, reporting, and staff proficiency, ultimately delivering reliable results.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical or biological science as defined by CLIA.
2 years clinical lab experience in the designed lab area/speciality
