Drive-Thru Operator

General Purpose

The Drive-Thru Operator is responsible for selling to and serving drive-thru guests while collecting payment prior to delivering meals.

Essential (Primary) Functions

• Sell and serve each drive-thru guest within 3 minutes or less

• Follow the 7 Steps to Drive-Thru service protocol

• Maintain guest sensitivity and provide courteous service

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met

• Restock supplies as needed

• Adhere to uniform, safety, security, cash handling, and company policies

Secondary Functions

• Perform any other tasks assigned by management

Essential Physical Requirements

• Good general and close vision

• Good hearing

• Manual dexterity

• Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and walk throughout shift

• Ability to push and pull heavy objects

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

• Maintain proper personal hygiene and a clean uniform

Essential Social & Mental Requirements

• Ability to operate a computerized register

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills

• Ability to retain verbal instructions

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Willingness to work varied shifts

• Retain menu item information for guest inquiries

• Market and promote menu items

• Handle guest complaints professionally

• Work well with others in a team environment

• Accurately count and provide change

• Maintain composure under pressure
