Dental Solutions is looking for a Dental Assistant in Blackwood, NJ to support our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment.
Position Overview
This is a hygiene-centered Dental Assistant role. You will work primarily alongside our dental hygienists, helping them deliver efficient, comfortable, and preventive-focused care to our patients.
As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team, providing support to the hygienists and professional dental staff. Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
- Must be a certified Dental Assistant
- X-Ray certification is required
- At least 1 year of hands on experience
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
